Katalina experimened with the technique of enameling for many years.  Working with the material of metal and fire inspired her artwork and  influences her present style of painting.  This technique allows for creating unusual and miniature paintings which are fused with precious metals.

Apart from her miniatures Katalina developed  her own, unusual technique of photographic compositions printed on metal.  She created the beautiful and haunting series of Sweet Sorrow capturing a young girl's portraits on metal.
