The exhibition of Katalina's paintings entitled 'Winged Creatures of Light' was held in at the Art Gallery of St Georges Brandon Hill in November and December of 2008 in Bristol. She created a series of paintings influenced by icons and devoted to transcendental beliefs about light as a representation of 'good'.  The figures in the paintings bear wings and other features associated with flight. Katalina also used magical, symbolic images which helped her to create a world of  mystery and wonder. This series was exhibited just before Christmas 2008 with part of proceeds from sales pledged  to charitable causes.
